Update 25.04.2022

Last weekend we managed to organize another evacuation of animals from Ukraine. This time 5 cats and 4 dogs. These animals come from war zones – from the area of Mariupol and Zaporizhzhya. The animals were picked up from us by Alex from Germany, and like last time, she brought them to their new, loving home. Today we received photos showing that the animals are doing very well there.

He and his friends feed homeless dogs and cats abandoned by people fleeing the war. He came to our camp near Lviv and received 500 kg of food for animals. May it benefit their health. We would like to thank you all very much for the donations you send to Benkowo. As you can see, we are passing it on to people and animals who desperately need it.

We ask you to continue to participate in the collection.

Update 08.04.2022

Yesterday, food and feed for the animals for the Odessa zoo were loaded at our center. Because of the war, they have a big problem feeding their charges. This delivery is a big help for them because they are in a dramatic situation. As there is still space in the car, dog and cat food is also taken along, which is distributed locally to private individuals who have problems feeding their friends.

We would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your help. Without this help, we would have nothing to travel with. A special thanks to Magda Galant and Danuta Żorawik, who are to thank for the fact that the aid will go to Odessa Zoo.

Together we can achieve more. It is as simple as that.

We remind you that we are not slackening in our efforts. The war continues and every day and every hour there is drama. There are tragedies for thousands of people and animals. We transport food for animals, medical supplies and food for people. There is a constant collection in our center and every week vehicles are loaded with donations, carrying several pallets of relief goods. Some of the relief supplies are taken directly to the people and Animals in need, and some are stored in a warehouse we have rented near Lviv, where the relief supplies are then collected directly from the people in need. This includes two homes in Kharkiv, but also many private individuals.

We are planning the next transport for next Tuesday and ask you from the bottom of our hearts for your support. You can find a list of the most necessary items here: https://fundacjabenek.pl/providing-help-for-ukraine/

Update 06.04.2022

The next transport of food collected thanks to your help has already reached the shelter in Kharkiv. Thank you for your support and the fact that we can always count on you.

As part of the aid for the animal shelters in the war-torn city of Kharkiv, we provide food for dogs and cats, funds to ensure medical care for needy animals and other necessary items. We also helped with the evacuation of some animals.

Attached is a “Thank You” video from Yulia from Kharkiv 🙂

Update 05.04.2022

Your donations will benefit the needy in Ukraine. The Yaroslav veterinary clinic in Lviv received medicines and bandages for the treatment of animals, as well as food. Mrs Ala from Ternopil received two wheelchairs for dogs, which she urgently needed. And a car loaded to the roof with animal food. And for Mrs. Oksana from Kharkiv, we packed four pallets of pet food. There are cars on the way that will bring food to the shelters we support in Kharkiv.

It is nice to see the donations being collected from our camp near Lviv and to know that they are going to a place where people are really struggling to survive and need them. Also the poor animals can’t look after themselves – we have to do it for them.

Thanks to you, all the help that goes to the animals in Ukraine is only possible. We would like to thank you all very much for the donations in kind.

Update 02-03.04.2022

The work in our warehouse near Lviv is in full swing. We unpack our trucks and sort the donations for the individual recipients. Our volunteers are very brave. The area around Lviv is already under fire. One of the missiles fired hit 2 km from our warehouse. A bomb alert is announced several times a day via megaphones.

In our warehouse, we have mainly dog and cat food, transporters, bandages and food for humans. All this is continuously picked up by animal shelters and also by private individuals from Ukraine. Thanks to you, we are able to deliver more supplies to Ukraine every week. Your support is a lifesaver for animals and people. Thanks to you, we save lives there every day, and the gratitude of the recipients cannot be put into words.

We will continue to help as often as needed and as often as we can bring something. Thank you for every donation, this warehouse full of relief supplies is ultimately thanks to you.

Yesterday we also delivered donations directly to the military unit in Złoczów. This unit trains dogs and repairs heavy equipment. We brought work clothes, tools and food for them for the dogs that are in the unit. The soldiers are very grateful to you for this. Everything will come in handy as they are in a difficult situation. They explained that they have sent many requests for help to foreign organisations. But they receive very little because most organisations are afraid to come here. Thanks to you, we can support them, this help is urgently needed here.

We would like to thank you once again. Without you, none of this would be possible!

Update 01.04.2022

Tomorrow we will start another transport to Ukraine.
This time we will have two cars. Marek will drive from Warsaw and Tomek from Benkowo. We are taking food for dogs and cats to the animal shelters in Kharkiv. We were also able to collect work overalls, work boots, medicines and bandages, tools and a compressor for the military unit in Złoczów. Thank you very much for your support! This time we are transporting a large consignment for them, destined for one of the animal shelters. Everything will be deposited in our warehouse in Chanyzh near Lviv.

Yesterday, a car with 14 pallets of animal food left our warehouse in Chanyz. These are for the animal shelter run by the Kharkov City Animal Treatment Centre. All this logistics is a bit complicated, because it is impossible to get directly to Kharkov. But the most important thing is that our help reaches those in need. We thank you for your trust and your donations. It is you who make it possible for us to act.

Let’s follow the path of a parcel of food for animals:
– Our donor buys a package and brings or sends it to Benków.
– From Benkowo, our transport goes to Chanyzh near Lviv.
– From there they are picked up by animal shelters from Kharkiv, often by external transport companies that are not afraid to drive through war zones.
The entire journey of a package of pet food from the donor to the recipient takes about 2 weeks.

Hint; You can switch on German or English subtitles in the settings.

A big THANK YOU for all your support.
Your help makes a big difference.
